Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Center for Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Research (CDASR) at McLean Hospital is committed to increasing diversity in all forms, fostering equal opportunity for all persons, challenging discrimination, and building a welcoming environment for different perspectives.
Our goals include the following:
-
- To increase diversity among the Center staff through training, recruiting, and hiring individuals of all backgrounds.
- To encourage further diversity in our research samples, ensuring that all are represented when we develop research questions and pursue empirically-supported answers.
- To hold regular and open discussions about barriers to diversity in CDASR and the field of psychological research more broadly and implement strategies to remove them.
- To engage with diverse communities in Greater Boston and beyond through collaborative partnership.
Ultimately, we hope these steps will promote diversity among clinical scientists and allow the field to develop efficacious treatments for individuals regardless of differences in race, ethnicity, skin color, national origin, socioeconomic status, veteran status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, or weight.
